I hesitated a long time between a 3 or a 5 stars rating. Yes the location is FANTASTIC. It is a hot parking lot with electricity and water. There is a dump station. Showers/bathroom are clean but not perfectly. They should be cleaned 2 times a day, since everybody use them. Security is ok. But you cannot find better location, especially if you have a bicycle. Jersey City is a bike frendly city, supermarket very near, the ferry for Manhattan (at 4 minutes in pedal bike) can bring you and your bike for 4$. As other people mentioned the PATH rail system at 14 minutes walk from camping an can bring you to the subway of NY (many options). We spend 6 nights and I will come back !

I would heavily advise avoiding Liberty Harbor RV Campground at all costs. Their management practices are completely abysmal, their billing is predatory, and their staff is shockingly unprofessional. Three massive issues completely ruined my experience: 1. Last-Minute Spot Swapping: They changed my assigned RV site literally hours before my arrival with zero regard for what I had actually locked in and booked. You expect a reservation to mean something, but they treat your booking like a guessing game. 2. Illegal Overcharging & Violation of Terms: Their own terms and conditions explicitly state a $40 late checkout fee. Not only did they illegally charge me $50 instead, but they also went completely beyond their own written policy to invent extra fees. Their excuse? They claimed I "didn't sign the checkout sheet" and that they couldn't find my name. It is not my job to manage their messy paperwork, and charging guests extra money for their own internal organizational failures is a straight-up scam. 3. Appallingly Rude Customer Service: When I called to calmly discuss these unauthorized charges, the staff member was incredibly hostile and unfriendly. Instead of trying to resolve

This is a great rally point for a visit to NYC. Keep in mind that it is just a parking lot. However, for the pure ease of getting to the city, you can’t beat this location. They can accommodate just about any size RV! They are about 6 blocks from the PATH station, a subway train that will take you directly to the World Trade Center or if you get on the Yellow line it will take you all the way to 33rd St, just 1-2 blocks from the Empire State Building. We stayed here for 5 nights and we checked off all of the must see locations in NYC. It is nothing fancy. They have clean shower houses/restrooms, tent sites and laundry facilities. 24 hour security and just a short walk to the Surf City Bar and Restaurant. It can be a bit loud when they have live music but we didn’t mind. There is a ferry to Wall Street in the marina but we never used it. Overall a great place to stay for an amazing visit to NYC in your RV. Try to go to Liberty Stste Park and go to the Empty Sky Memorial! You wont be disappointed
